Component studies for a larger blown-glass sculpture exploring effects of various economic systems on the individual. Two contemporiaries who publicly aspired to fame through very different means, one ending tragically and the other ignominiously. Actress/dancer Molly Spotted Elk and fraudster Charles Ponzi are here conceived as fruit on the common tree of economic fate. Molly as the apple, Charles as the peach.
